Today i found out what the problem is, the spring that connects to the piston in the gearbox is not connected to the piston. Is there a way i can get to the gearbox and connect the spring to the piston?

Well if it is actually shooting the problem is
1) you have a jam. To fix this, take the magazine out and use the unjamming rod the rifle came with
2) Your magazine needs to be broken in. This means to lubricate the feeding tube with silicon oil and to put about 2-5 magazines full of bbs. If it still is not firing, get a new magazine
2a) Your magazine feeding tube is not full. If your m16 model airsoft gun uses a hi cap, which means the bb’s are fed via winding wheel (under the magazine), make sure you are winding it. I know it sounds silly, but sometimes people forget. Also don’t overwind the wheel. This will lock up the winding wheel.
