I have a Black Hawk holster for a 9mm and it doesn’t fit my side very well. I heard that you can heat up a holster so the paddle so it fits your side better. But I can’t find anything on the internet that tells me how to do it. Help please!

Black Hawk makes several different designs, and I prefer the Infinity because of all the angle adjustments. Unfortunately the holster industry is still male oriented, and this is based on the fact that men buy more holsters. Persons with wider hips can have an issue with certain vertical ride holsters. Black Hawk does not recommend the “heating” of any of its holsters and this would have to be done by someone with prior experience, and you could still damage the holster. I have never heard of such a thing.
You might sell the one you have and look for female friendly holsters, or try on the Black Hawk Infinity that allows you to angle the weapon in more horizontal positions to ride above the hip. Good luck and be safe.

Over the last two years Texas Custom Holsters has received numerous inquiries about adding a spare magazine holder to their already popular vehicle mountable holster design. Through use of it’s proprietary mounting system, Texas Custom Holsters is proud to offer a solution that nobody else has. A solution that remained hidden for years is now finally publicly available, and will be installed on all new holsters.
Spare clip holders on all holsters are rare, be they IWB, concealment holsters, mountable holsters, or otherwise. This is mostly because magazines are bulky, making the placement of the magazine difficult. Should the magazine be placed on top of the holster, behind, in front, underneath? No matter the placement, a spare clip adds weight and bulk. Neither are appealing for the end result.
This posed a serious challenge to Texas Custom Holsters, unwilling to compromise the product and experience that one expects when they draw their firearm. Texas Custom Holsters maintains that those two things are the most important features of their vehicle mount holster. One must be able to quickly and effortlessly draw their firearm, and must have confidence in the holster to be mounted securely and to hold the gun correctly. I have a 6″ revolver with an Uncle Mikes Sidekick shoulder holster, and I like the way it feels, but I know there’s a ton of other holster/gun combinations. To make this even more extreme in carrying capabilities, I would like to know which is the best holster, or pocket holster, you know of. After your choice of holster, that you feel is the best for either safety, strength, or comfort, name a type of firearm it would hold.

I have a simply rugged sourdough pancake holster, I use it to carry one of 3 revolvers.
Ruger Redhawk 4″ 45 colt.
Dan Wesson 4″ 357 model 15
S&W Brazilian contract model 1917 45 acp.
That holster is the most comfortable holster I own for carrying a heavy pistol.
