How to lock back the charging handle on a umarex airsoft mp5?

Question by John Kline: How to lock back the charging handle on a umarex airsoft mp5?
I wasnt very clear on my last question the charging handle on mine makes use of the spring powered part (my mp5 is a dual power AEG it does not cover the hop up) now the little piece of plastic enables me from locking it back (into the little notch like on a real one) and it doesnt look like it would break the gun if i cut it off so again could i do this

I have an airsoft umarex MP5 and on a real one you can lock the charging handle back into a little notch but on my airsoft one theres a piece of plastic that covers it up it doesnt look like if i cut it off anything bad would happen so im asking if anyone has ever done this or seen it done

the charging handle covers up the hop up to keep dirt from getting in dont mess with it or you could damage your gun
